WHAT IT DOESLOG

  • Walk through your week

    → Time sinks found

  • Review your tools

→ What you already have, used better

  • Shortlist of ideas

→ Ranked by time saved vs cost

  • Team questions

    → Answered in plain English

“Everyone says you should be “using AI”. Nobody explains what that means for a business your size, or what it costs.”

SOUND FAMILIAR?

What does an AI consultant do for a small business?

An AI consultant looks at how your business actually runs, finds the jobs where AI would save time or win customers, and gives you a plan you can act on: which tools, in what order, what they cost to run and what they should save. Just as important, they tell you where AI isn’t worth the money or the risk.

Most advice about AI is written for large companies with IT departments. Ours is for businesses and individuals without one: a salon owner, a plumber with two vans, an accountant working from home. We use your real week, not hypothetical examples, and we write the plan in plain English so you can follow it with or without us.

Why owners book an AI consultation

Nobody books a consultation because they want “an AI strategy”. They book because something specific is wearing them down.

  • “Everyone says I should use AI, but for what?”

→ A shortlist of three or four uses that fit your business, ranked by time saved against cost.

  • You’ve tried ChatGPT and it felt like a toy

→ Practical ways to use it for your quotes, emails, social posts and paperwork, with prompts written for your trade.

  • A salesperson is pushing an expensive tool

→ An independent second opinion before you sign anything.

  • Your team are using AI with no rules

→ A short, plain policy on what’s fine, what isn’t and which tools are safe for customer data.

  • You don’t know what it would cost to run

→ Running costs set out in writing, so you can compare them with the time it saves.

Who we advise

Businesses and individuals who want a straight answer about AI from someone with no reason to oversell it.

  • Owner-run businesses

Salons, trades, cafés, shops and studios where the owner does the admin after closing.

  • Professional practices

Accountants, solicitors’ offices, clinics and agencies weighing up AI for documents, email and client care.

  • Small teams starting out with AI

Staff already using chat tools informally and needing guidance, training and a simple policy.

  • Sole traders and freelancers

One person doing every job, looking for the two or three tools that give back the most hours.

  • Individuals with a project

Writers, coaches, community groups and side businesses who want to know what AI can realistically do for them.

A GOOD FIT IF…

  • You’re curious about AI but don’t know where to start
  • You’ve tried ChatGPT and want more from it
  • You want an honest opinion before spending money
  • Your team needs a hand getting comfortable with it

What you get

  • A walk through your week

Where the hours go, which tasks repeat and which ones customers notice when they slip.

  • A review of your current tools

What you already pay for and whether it has AI features you’re not using yet.

  • A ranked shortlist

Ideas scored by time saved, running cost and risk, so the first step is obvious.

  • A written plan

What to do first, what it costs to run, what it should save, and what to leave alone. Yours to keep.

  • Team training, if you want it

Hands-on sessions using your own tasks, with prompts and checklists your team keeps.

  • A simple AI policy

A page your team can follow: which tools, which data, and when to ask before using AI.

How much does AI consulting cost?

A consultation is quoted as a fixed price, in writing, before it starts. You know the full cost up front, and the plan is yours whether or not we build anything.

WHAT AFFECTS THE PRICE

  • How much of the business we cover

One process, such as quoting, is quicker than a look across every part of your week.

  • Team size

More people and more tools mean more conversations to have.

  • Training

Optional sessions for you or your team, priced by how many and how long.

  • A written AI policy

Optional, and short. Useful as soon as staff use AI with customer information.

  • Help afterwards

Building any part of the plan is quoted separately, only if you want it.

Tell us about your business in the quote form and we’ll reply with a fixed price in your currency, usually within a working day.

AI consulting questions

Something else? Ask in the chat. A person answers.

What is an AI business consultant?

Someone who looks at how your business runs and tells you where AI would genuinely help, which tools fit, what they cost and what to do first. A good one also tells you where AI isn’t worth it. We work with businesses and individuals, and we write everything in plain English.

How much does an AI consultant cost?

It depends on how much of your business we look at and whether you want training or a build afterwards. Every engagement is quoted in writing, in your currency, before it starts, and the first 20-minute conversation is free. The quote form takes a couple of minutes and gets you a fixed price.

Will you just try to sell me something?

The plan is yours to keep. If the honest answer is “AI isn’t worth it for this”, that’s what it will say, and you’re free to build any of it yourself or with someone else.

Which AI tools are best for a small business?

There isn’t one answer, which is the point of a consultation. For most small businesses the useful tools fall into three groups: a general assistant your team uses for writing and research, an assistant that talks to customers, and automations that move information between the apps you already use. We recommend specific products for your situation and explain why.

Which AI agent is best for a small business?

“AI agent” usually means software that can take steps on its own, such as replying, booking or updating a record. For a small business the safest start is a narrow agent with one clear job and a person approving anything important. We’ll tell you whether an agent fits your work or whether a simpler automation would do the job more reliably.

Can you train my staff?

Yes. Practical sessions on using AI tools safely and well in your day-to-day work, built around the tasks your team actually does.

Is my data safe?

We’ll show you which tools are suitable for customer data and which aren’t, help you write a short AI policy for your team, and set things up accordingly.

Do I need to be technical?

No. That’s our job. If you can describe your working week, you have everything a consultation needs.

Do you only work with small businesses?

Most of our clients are small businesses, sole traders and individuals, because that’s who the plain-English approach suits best. If you’re a larger organisation with a specific problem, ask in the chat and we’ll tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit.

Get a straight answer.

Tell us what you’d like AI to help with, or what you’re unsure about. We’ll reply with a plan for the conversation and a written quote.
