SOUND FAMILIAR?
What is local SEO for a small business?
Local SEO is the work that helps nearby customers find your business when they search on Google, look on Google Maps or ask an AI tool for a recommendation. It covers your Google Business Profile, your reviews, your listings on other sites and your own website: whether it clearly says what you do and where, loads fast and answers the questions buyers ask.
Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and prominence. You can’t change where a customer is standing, but you can make it obvious what you do (relevance) and give Google reasons to trust you (prominence): complete information, real reviews, and other sites mentioning you. That’s the work we do, for businesses and individuals, and we explain every step in plain English.

Why customers can’t find you yet
When a competitor shows up first, it’s rarely luck. It’s usually one of these.
Your Google Business Profile is half-finished
→ Every field completed, the right categories chosen, real photos added and hours kept accurate.
Few reviews, and none answered
→ A simple routine for asking happy customers, and replies that show you care.
Your website doesn’t say where you work
→ Clear service and area pages that match what people actually search for.
The site is slow on a phone
→ Speed and structure fixed, so visitors stay and search engines can read it.
Your details differ from site to site
→ Name, address, phone number and hours made consistent across the listings that matter.
AI tools don’t mention you
→ Clear, consistent information about your business, the kind AI answers draw on.

How much does SEO cost for a small business?
Local SEO is usually a one-off fix-up of the foundations, then optional monthly work. We quote both in writing so you can choose.
WHAT AFFECTS THE PRICE
Where you’re starting from
A new business with no profile needs different work from an established one with an old website.
How many services and areas
Each extra service or area you want to be found for adds pages and listings.
Competition
A busy city with many rivals takes more work than a small town.
Website fixes
Some sites need small changes; some are better rebuilt, and we’ll tell you which.
Monthly or one-off
Fix the foundations once, or keep going with content, reviews and reports each month.

Local SEO questions
Something else? Ask in the chat. A person answers.
Is SEO worth it for a small business?
Usually, if people search for what you do in the area you serve. Search brings customers who are already looking, and a complete Google Business Profile costs nothing but time. It’s less worth it if your work comes entirely from referrals, or if almost nobody searches for your service. The health check tells you which side you’re on before you spend anything.
How long does SEO take?
Quick fixes, like a complete Google Business Profile and a faster website, can help within weeks. Steady local growth usually takes a few months. Anyone promising overnight results is guessing.
Can you guarantee first place?
No one honestly can, and Google says so itself: if someone guarantees first place, it advises you to find someone else. We focus on what reliably helps local businesses and report the results openly.
How do I do SEO for my small business myself?
Start with your Google Business Profile: complete every field, choose the right categories, add real photos and keep your hours accurate. Ask every happy customer for a review and reply to the ones you get. Make sure your website says clearly what you do and where, loads fast on a phone, and has a page for each main service. That covers a lot of the ground; we can do it with you or for you.
Is SEO still worth it with AI search?
Yes, and the work overlaps. AI answers from Google, ChatGPT and others draw on the same things: clear, consistent information about your business, reviews, and pages that answer real questions. A business that’s easy for a search engine to understand is easier for an AI tool to recommend.
Can ChatGPT do my SEO?
It can help write drafts and brainstorm questions customers ask. It can’t verify your Business Profile, earn you reviews, fix a slow website or judge what actually works in your area. Use it as a helper, not a replacement for doing the groundwork.
What is AI search?
Tools like ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers now recommend businesses. Clear, consistent information about you across the web makes you more likely to be mentioned.
How much does SEO cost for a small business?
It depends on how many services and areas you want to be found for and how much needs fixing first. We quote in writing, in your currency, as a one-off fix-up, a monthly plan, or both. Google Business Profile itself is free.
Do I need a Google Business Profile?
If you serve customers in person, at your premises or at theirs, almost certainly. It’s what appears in Google Maps and the local results, it’s free, and Google says businesses with complete and accurate information are more likely to show up in local search.
Do you write blog posts?
Where they’ll help. A few genuinely useful pages that answer your customers’ questions beat a stream of thin posts, and Google increasingly penalises content mass-produced to rank.
